The NC Ranking System is based off a combination of various branches of the U.S. Military.

Nullus Clementia System of Ranks

The Enlisted ranks are NC’s bread and butter. The bulk of the Clan is comprised of members in this category, but everyone is important.

Private (PVT): Fresh meat at its finest, Private is the first rank of any NC recruit inducted into the Clan under normal circumstances. As you might expect, being a Private doesn’t carry much weight; you have limited privileges, but that doesn’t decrease your value to NC. With some quality play time around some superior officers, you will find your time in the Private rank to be short-lived. 9 weeks in clan with active participation

Private First Class (PFC): Once you have shown a little of your mettle, you advance up to Private First Class. Ultimately the only real improvements here are that you now outrank the new recruits, and your mark in the Clan is coming into focus. 9 weeks in clan with active participation

Corporal (CPL): When you shrug off your days as a Private, your Clan service record can really begin to take shape. At the rank of Corporal, you become eligible to be a part of certain Specialization Programs taught by skilled Clan members. However, rank requirement varies depending on the program. 9 weeks in clan with active participation

Lance Corporal (LCPL): By the time you reach Lance Corporal, you have probably begun making a name for yourself in NC. Squad leaders may be watching your progress, hoping to bring you into their squad, and you will probably have seen your fair share of combat fighting beside your comrades in arms. 6 weeks in clan with active participation

Sergeant (SGT): A Sergeant in Nullus Clementia gains a special responsibility. If you are playing with a group of NC members whose rank is below your own, you become the Field Leader. A Field Leader has the power to give orders and direct the other members of lower rank with them. Note however that a Strike Team Leader will always take precedence as the Field Leader regardless of rank if they are present. 8 weeks in clan with active participation

First Sergeant (1SGT): At the rank of First Sergeant, you have undoubtedly become a fine, battle-hardened warrior. Your memorable exploits may have spread far and wide throughout NC, or you might have become a graduate of a Specialization Program. Your experience and prowess brought you to the top half of the Enlisted ranks, and that is no easy feat. The Field Leader hierarchy also advances at this rank, and your orders extend now to Sergeants.

6 weeks + field test

Petty Officer 2nd Class (PO2): Newly enacted as NC ranks, Petty Officer 2nd Class is the first rank that can apply to be an Officer. Much like the First Sergeant, your Field Leader orders extend again to the ranks below yours. 8 weeks + field test

Petty Officer 1st class (PO1): on the higher end of the enlistment ranks. At this rank you will become more of a supervisor to the other ranks and are held to a higher standard within the clan. 6 weeks + field test + written test

Chief Petty Officer (CPO):  Once you have reached the rank of Chief Petty Officer you are among the more trusted members of the enlisted ranks. As a CPO you will be expected to do administrative tasks as well as ensuring that tasks put out by the higher chain of command is distributed among the lower ranks. 8 weeks + field test + written test

Senior Chief Petty Officer (SCPO): As a SCPO you are at the top of the enlisted pay grade. Here your tasks are critical to the operational readiness of NC. Anything from Admin to field ops you will be doing it all. although the SCPO workload is typically higher they deserve much respect from both enlisted and officers. 12 weeks + field test + written test + oral Board (If MCPONC is available)

Master Chief of Nullus Clementia (MCPONC): [This special rank is reserved to only one NC member at a time] The Master Chief of NC in the highest attainable rank as an Enlisted soldier in the Clan. To reach this rank is an achievement in itself, and those who make it have earned respect from many Clan members. This rank is unique because it marks a milestone in your NC career. From here on out you become an important member. While you won’t be considered a Clan leader, you will certainly have no diminished value. A Master Chief of NC has one foot in the door to become an Officer, if they have not already become one.

Must put in a packet of accommodations and must take a written test with an oral board and a field test. must be PO2 before submitting packet.

Officers are the commanding backbone of NC. To count yourself among them means you have shown true dedication and loyalty to the Clan, and possess uncommon skill and resolve. Officers go up in rank very slowly compared to Enlisted, but come with a plethora of new privileges. The ranks are only listed here, not their specific descriptions. This is due to the fact that the ranking hierarchy becomes somewhat blurred within their ranks, and members of NC are notified of what new powers come with going up in rank upon reaching it.

Ensign

Lieutenant (LT)

Commander(CDR)

Captain (CPT)

Major (MAJ)

Colonel (COL)

Vice Admiral

Admiral

The Officer ranks cease at Colonel. To achieve the rank of Colonel means you have effectively mastered the characteristics that NC strives to invoke in each one of its members. However, being a Colonel doesn’t halt your journey in Nullus Clementia. At the peak of your bureaucratic influence, you have a solid say now in the goings on of NC.

The only remaining ranks are those of Generals. The actual General is the sole leader of NC, and during times of peace between Clans they are the only one who possesses a General rank. In the case of a co-operative leadership, as was the case with Rapture and Atlas, both members are Generals. In times of Clan warfare, or when NC is involved in tournaments, other NC members are picked by the leader to hold the position of various Generals for the duration of the battles.

Brigadier General (BGEN)

Major General (MGEN)

Lieutenant General (LGEN)

Master General of Nullus Clementia (MGNC): The Leader takes on this highest rank only during times of Clan warfare and Tournaments. The 3 ranks listed above are taken by his or her finest hand picked soldiers only during those times. Once the battle is over, the Master General relinquishes this rank and returns to standing General. It is up to the resounding Clan to decide to award their Leader with a General’s Star.
